This is a redo of an old model that I lost. I took the polly count from 500 or so to 2166. This is for my long awaited seriese of movies I plan to do in MotS and then make into an AVI. This should be textured soon, since I'm making the whole seriese in Cel-Shading. The main character uses 2 of these, and a major cleche, they're called 'The Alpha' and 'The Omega.'

Nice. About the movie idea tho...

I like it, but make sure you release it in it's MotS form as well as AVI form, as the MotS form would be smaller and us 56k MotSers would be happy. And it wouldn't need to be compressed, and could be viewed at many resolutions.

The human finger wouldnt really bend the right way to pull that trigger. I mean you could dislocate it and jam it into the trigger... but it doesnt move like that. The stock of the gun shouldnt be so horizontal. If anything maybe at a 45 degree angle.

There is a reason that guns tend to have near-vertical grips.. also, it doesn't need 2000+ polys - 500 should be enough for that design.

That having been said....

I'm curious, the way it's held resembles the way hand phasers are held in ST. Would it totally kill the design/idea if you made a thumb trigger instead of a normal index finger one?

Just a thought.

I'm makinga movie with it, therefore I can vertually put as many pollys as I want on it.

As for holding it, I really don't care if it looks like it's easy to hold or not, the users will hold it fine, and it's a movie, who ever said it had to make sense?

I'll say it again, it's a movie, you won't be in first person, OR 3rd person view EVER. These guns will get closups, angles, etc. I'm making every single bit of this project as high pollied as JK can handle in order to give me, the dirrecter, complete freedom on where to angle and pan shots.

I think your gun itself is great, however, I believe your grip could use some work. Firstly, you could shape it so that it could be held more comfortably, as well as still maintaining a "cool" look. Also, moving the handguard away from the fingers a little bit would add to comfort, and possibly even adding in little finger rings if you want it to be so close.

Don't mean to rain on your parade. I thought the gun was great, but I'd make the handle more ergonomic. Well, that's my 1 1/2 cents...
