The best outside archi I've ever done!

Hey guys!!! I recently started on the second level of my latest project for MotS(you might have seen shots of the first one a while back). I seriously think this is the best outside architecture I have ever done. This should really show that it is possible to create advanced archi in JkEdit(as that is the editor I use). Comments and Suggestions wanted as long as you dont say how bad the textures are because believe me, I already know. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Your mapping is good, Lighting could be toned down a bit, or the texture white colour. One thing for sure. Snow! We wanna see snow! :P.

Why is the ground flat? And the walls are still blocky. Don't mean to sound harsh, but it is true. I'm not saying it's bad, but it could easily be better.

The framerate was 59fps and my specs are:
Pantium 4 Processor
512GB of RAM
GeForce4 64MB video card

Didnt put snow in because I tried in an earlier level and when I got over like 40 ghost putting out snow, some wierd things started happening like snow coming out of nowhere and going the wrong way, and snow not coming out of where I set it up to come out. Thats why I wont use snow. The lighting is still default because I just recently started on the level and havent worked on the lighting yet.

I don't think the walls are that flat, but I will work on the ground.

in your second to last, and last screenshots, you can see quite clearly how flat the ice walls are. Im not talking about making stuff jagged and pointy and come out and stick in in some areas, because you did that. But the actual WALLS themselves are flat, i mean, they are too vertical. Have ice protruding out real far on the bottom and stick in on the top, it gets complicated, I know, but it turns out alot better in the end.

[edit] as for your mysterious snow comming from no-where and stuff, has nothing to do with having 40 ghosts. You probobly set one out of the level, or had the direction going the wrong way, or placed a few ghosts on accident, or anything like that. But then again, you're using JKEdit, which means I cannot help you with cog problems, as JED is far superior when it comes to putting cogs in your level, as well as things. But JK does not crap out on you if you have 40 ghosts generating snow, I know, because i've had over 60 generating rain before.

I spent days and days checking over that snow thing changed a lot and the only thing that fixed it was taking one of the cogs out of the level so there wasn't snowing from as many ghosts.

Looks very good, although is strange that the ground is completely flat. Just use that landscaping tool and it will look great! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Ok, here are some more shots with terrain!! No more flat ground!! It may be a little hard to tell with the textures, but strain your eyes and you can tell.

Oh yea, and I may give the snow one more try.
