I think I'm calling this little guy a D-Wing. It's got 2 forms, similar to the B-Wing. This is for the flying portion of URMP. Took me a little under an hour to mode, and it's inspired by the wings of an AirHawk miniture toy-plain's wings. 1976 Pollygons.

Next to the cockpit are 2 mounted larger versions of the repeater. The underbelly holds home to 4 (It might be 5) proton torpedos, the ends of the wings have simple laser cannons mounted on them. I'm going to animate the switch to the other mode... that's going to be scary.

Either that has a droid as a pilot, one really big wingspan, or one very very impossible to fit into cockpit, even for a little person. Thats my only complaint, else, looks .

It has a very large wingspan. Very very very large. It's about 10 to 15 feet from one end of the cockpit to the other, you do the math on the wingspan.

yeah. Looks nice, could use some more wing/cockpit detail.


My suggestion: Lose the one-hinge wings... get them to fold at the joint that's already there, then at another halfway along the wing, so they form into a shape kind of like that in which pterodactyls or plaint pterosaurs walk in (hypothetically)

just for the sake of variety... and since landing in a vertical position wouldn't work with the one you've shown us, (nor with the bottom one I've posted), it would look cool to use my first example and have it land... like on treads or struts or skids at the lower wing joint instead of the way b-wings land.

I've always thought that thewings that are jointed in the middle and then swivel to be flat against the cockpit were cool (think WWII Japanese submarine planes)
