And by that I mean too much empty space, and the gradients from the bevels don't match the solid-color theme it looks like you're going for. All of the images are blatantly filterized, also making it look shoddy and unprofessional.

Please, tone down the blue a little. It doesn't look right. Ow, i agree with zu'ly's post, too.

i was thinking of toning down teh blue - i've already been told that by someone... but not sure exactly what to [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

and by too much empty space - i assume your referring to the bit in the middle where theres nothing but blue [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] - its not finished just there, and i'm still thinking of stuff to putin there...

sorry not sure what filterized means [http://forums.massassi.net/html/confused.gif]??

(oh and by phongs tutorials do you mean the top pic? cos i've lost the link to where i found out how to do that - and wouldn't mind knowing what it is...?)

For the blue, try combining it with several lighter tones of blue, with a nice, spraycan like effect. That should do it.

It would be better if the image in the sidebar lined up with itself. Either that or keep the sidebar narrow enough that it doesnt need to repeat horizontally. Also at this res (1280*1024) The top logo is centered and doesnt match up with the top grey bar, which is also messed up because it comes to an abrupt halt which just looks.. wrong. If it were to continue across the whole page it would look better, same with the logo at the top. One last note, the font used in the menu is horrible compared with the font used in the logo, i suggest making it verdana or arial and not underlined.

Also, why on earth is the logo so big?!

You could make the background a repeating pattern (about 1/8 of the current size!) and put the text on top of it.

hmm most of that might be because the site is made for 1024*768.. maybe i should have mentioned that... try viewing it in that res
