1. Yes, I'm aware the roofs all have the same texture. In game, there's really no access to the roofs, so the idea was to keep people off of them.
2. Yes, I agree the texture doesn't seem to fit. Makes it stick out like a swore thumb. I'll probably just edit the textures on the building to fit more along the brownish atmosphere of the rest of the buildings.
That would be a cool idea to put little gardens and shurbery on top of buildings. However, from certain angles on certian buildings you get HOM, which is the modivation to keep people off the roof tops. Maybe I'll work something out.
Anyway, on with actually describing the leve to you since this is my first reply. I'm in the process of creating some, WWII era vehicles. Set in Europe obviously. Some of the buildings will be enterable. The underground/underwater tunnel system will maze underneath of the streets allowing you to pop up at certain points surprising your enemy.
Someone asked about planning. Yes, I did plan the level out before I began developement. However, in my paper drawnings didn't quite look like it does now. The center of the level looks how it did on paper, but at that point everything just began to flow and idea's poped up here and there. I guess I was just really modivated and excitied about this level.
