Hi all.
Just wanted to showcase this outcast map i have been working on. This is pretty much my third attempt at the Radiant editor, and with that in mind, I don't think it looks that bad(compared to some of those outcast levels). Constructive criticism wanted. I know that in some of those inside shots, the lighting doesnt appear to come from any source, but I will fix that.

It's pretty good, textures do need work. It looks like you're using SoF2Map, are you using JK2Radiant?

Yea Im not too good at texturing outcast.
Im using SoF2Map but am making my map in GTKRadiant. The BSP compiler is not work for GTKRadiant for some reason, when I click to BSP it, it terminates the application. Wierd eh? So thats a real inconvenience switching editors.

I have older versions, but they wont run cause I accidentally messed them up.

Hmm... try using q3map2toolz. As for the level, it could do with some extra detail - especially curves. Textures aren't too good, many look as if being in the wrong place.

You have some nice architectural forms going on, but the texturing is kinda repetitive and a bit unoriginal. Keep it up though, it's looking "proper bo" for a 3rd attempt, I tell thee.

Thanks for the link to the Q3map2toolz. I am going to go play the bespin levels on outcast to see how they texture it.

You're welcome, and for texturing, you might as well want to take a look at Gonk's map (I don't say do exactly the same, but to look at the basics)cause it's simply gorgious.. Though SP, and yours is obviously MP...

Its a nice level But bespin has been over done try makeing the lightin needs a little work but lighting really is not my specialty I would also admise to add more make it less open space. more detail draw the eye make lights on celling something like that. and as always with my opinion add like some plants or something

The archi in some places is really good, like the second shot, but in some places it gets a little boxy. A boxy room here and there is no problem, just don't use a lot of them.
