Finally learned how to UVW map thanks to our own local Emon and his massive amounts of resources (and to the foreign guy that made the vido tutorial). So here are just some of the first shots, whipped up a 20 min texture to test it out so i figured id share it with you. Still playing with the colors, will probably be paler, but i am open to suggestions...

wow, realy nice, I wouldn't make him paler. Perhaps in some different colors Or a female character that's a bit different in an other color

And choose a nice color for his eyes Try orange... in the right tone that could look fantastic

For those of you newb modelers who are trying to learn JO modeling for players in spefifics. Pysko, from lucas forums has his own site for very good tutorials.

Trust me, this shows how well detailed it takes to make a model to how the model works to UV mapping and weighing it.. It aint easy I know .. Do not get over-whelmed with the massive information.. Very detailed and yes it is acurate!

Two new screen shots, added a smooth modifier to the mesh so you can see the skin better, worked on the texture a little bit more, took some advice (thanks Matyy), etc...etc...





textures were done from scratch, vein detail was a pain to get it too look right

I had to do some reaserch on this game as I wanted to preserve the originality of this design. I can see how you would associate this character with the agile type from Evolva, but there are many differences. also keep in mind Ive never even heard of that game until you mentioned it (and my guy doesnt evolve or anything).

[side note] I also scared myself the other day concerning the originality. I had forgotten what a Zora (from zelda) looks like but I associated it with this character design. So i hooked up the old N64 and luckily they are very different as well...

Less saturation, a tiny bit brighter and smoother texture as a whole = more happy love in my trousers.
