Hey, I am now working on my newest project called The Dark Abyss It's a symmetrical(sp?) Saber Deathmatch level, and is meant for teams or something. Anyways, it's a very simple architectual design, and also, as you can see, has simple textures. However, there are numerous curves and such for your pleasure. I hope you like it! [Edit] Sorry about the filesize, I didn't really have time to shrink it down, and also, the JPEG compression blurs it as you all know, and sort of distorts the lighting.

Looks pretty good. I beta'ed this level. It would be pretty good for duels... needs some sort of trap[s] or pit[s] to have fun with though....

Horrible textures, really makes my eyes hurt, and simple archi, which isn't really a bad thing.

I'm glad you added some more detail to the side rooms. Did you scale the level down any?

Beleive it or not, it does not hurt the eyes in-game. Unless you're light-sensitive...in which case looking at your monitor would "hurt the eyes"

I guess maybe I have to get player's opinions on this for some of you? It's not nearly as hard to navigate or aim as you may think. And the textures are not as blinding as you may think. When you're in the 3D world itself, you can use the lights as your guide, and also, you can SEE where you are going alot more than in those screenshots. However, I will do some cleaving on the surfaces so the saber can light up your way also, but anyways, I will think about redoing the textures, but the scheme will stay the same, as will the architexture. And other than that, I will take sugguestions on what else to add or fix. Please, just trust me on the fact of gameplay, you cannot complain about gameplay from a screenshot.

It's not hard to navigate or aim. But the contrast between the solid black of the walls and the blue lights, is, erm, unpleasent (in the reguards of it being distracting as you depend on the lights to define the walls).

I really think it should be expanded on. Perhaps this area could be a training area to a much larger facility.

Hmm, perhaps you could try replacing the solid black walls with a simplistic dark blue wall to soften the contrast. Something like 00base4.mat or something similar would go well with the blue neon trim.

Just a little brighter glow, a RED glow, would do the trick I think...
