Bombers at 12 o'clock high....
2003-09-14, 1:29 PM #1
It's been about a month since I've posted anything, beendoing a lot of preliminary sketch work and music writing, but I'm back with two new models *see other thread*.

This is the Unity Crescent Bomber. Twin missile racks on teh top of the wings, two forward mounted cannons, and two bomb bays on the belly. Relatively slow in atmospheric bombings, requires escort. Can be launched independently of a capital ship, as it's equipped with it's own hyperdrive system. mmm... think that's about it. Comments? Idea? I feel it's still missing something, but am not sure what...

[edit]haha... I said "it's missile something", rather than "it's missing something". Fixed.[/edit]

Looks good. I assume the spikes on the leading edge of the wing are for looks only?

Nah, I didn't have to sort which opinions were for what models. I don't usually combine threads like that.

Exact same thought entered my head when I first saw the pics. They look very cool. What program did you use to model/render them with?

With all that stuff on board, it had better be as hard as Hell to manuever.

Who are you, saxman? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Yes, it's slow and a bit difficult to move in atmosphere, which is probably the only place you'll see it ingame. Might make a cutscene appearance. The spikes are just part of the Untiy motif. You'll find tehm on a lot of Unity vehicles, even if they aren't of any practical use.

Modelled in JED, like everything else of mine, rendered in M4D

i wasnt criticizing. it looks **** cool. just wondring. and its good that Unity has a theme to their ships. easier to distinguish enemy from friendly ships.

I realize you weren't, it was just a joke... since Saxman had said that in a criticizing manner on my Cutter thread. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]
