Even more Star Trek (Original Enterprise Bridge)
2003-09-07, 1:22 PM #1
I wish I could stay focused on one project [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]. I've started on yet another Star Trek project, this time going back to the original series. I've done this specific bridge before, but that was like 3 years ago. So I decided to redo the area totally from scratch. The entire area is to accurate 1:1 scale (using measurements from an old schematic book I have). Almost all of the computer screens around the bridge animate, as well as the red alert status lights. Let me know what you guys think.

IIRC, the lights in TOS were that bright. They were colorful too.

That is an excellent bridge. I would love to gun or saber someone down while in the captain's chair. [subtle suggestion]How about the 1701-D bridge?[/subtle] [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

**** you, bombshellrapture. I had a shot at SotD until you posted this. **** you!

Very beautiful. Your mastery of the Star Trek ships never ceases to amaze me.

[http://forums.massassi.net/html/eek.gif] Now there's a ST bridge. For a moment that looked like JO, but it ain't... The little text above gave it away... Wait a minute... If that is JK, and the textures are good? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/eek.gif] [http://forums.massassi.net/html/eek.gif]
That is nice! Now to make the rest of the ship... And maybe some skins? Heck, I think the bridge will do fine as a Duel level...

Keep in mind that the TOS Enterprise was almost entirely comprised of opaque colors, making the majority of the textures easy to create.

However, bombshellrapture managed to actually take the LSD-inspired color scheme of the Enterprise and actually make it pleasant to look at.

Hand me a Phaser Type II so I can steal his brains and vapourise the rest of his body. ^.^

Nice job. I don't think I've seen any Star Trek game go to that kind of detail before, and I'm talking about EF 1 and 2 as well.

I do believe he already has done a hallway, and I think he's done the core too, but that might have been something/someone else. I'm not a trekkie, so I don't know much about it anyway. The only thing I ever liked about star trek were the original movies.

If those words weren't there, and the chairs weren't there, I would have swore that was JO. Honestly, side by side with a JO shot, I probably wouldn't have been able to tell. You, my friend, are a god. SotD or I'll sue.

The colors are correct...some colors were taken from actual screenshots of some original series episodes. I originally was going to use lighter colors for the computer screens, but I chose to go with the deeper, bolder colors so it stayed true to the show.
