This screen shot is the fuel tanks on the upper hallway.

This is lower area with the pit and showing off the lighting on the ceiling.

I changed the texture for the buttom of the wall for the tunnel. It will help lead you hanger without getting lost. and got rid of the blue lights that were down there.

These are some of the areas I have been working on..... mostly lighting and textures. The floor texture were changed after the screen shots. So I'll have a another post in a week or two.

Uh... whatever... the reason you dont use repetative textures (expecially ones that dont even tile like that floor with the circles on it) is because it looks boring. Take my first map for example... repetitive textures == no.

repetitive textures just don't look good. I mean, your archi appears to be fine (except for some bland walls), but the use of textures totally ruins it.

Ofcourse, you could look at the original map from JK to have an idea on how to texture it.

I want to do the Jedi Knight texture of Nar Shaddaa but I sux with color and textures.
If someone could do that I would be most greatful for that.

Like I said... the texture are in works along with a lot of other stuff.

I'd expect a LOT more from JO.
You see the stuff in the wall textures? Instead of texturing it like that, build it like that.

Indeed, the major problem is textures, it needs complete redoing...

One problem I had when first making levels is that I used only textures that I liked, even if they didn't go with each other. For example, that circle texture looks real cool in Radiant, but tiled on the floor it looks like bleh... so choose a texture set (like hmm... NARSHADAA?!?!? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]) and stick with it, and read the texture names, they sometimes give suggestions on how to use them.

The archi is a tad bland, but it's not terribly bad. There's already a Nar Spaceport level for JO you know... you might want to take a look at it to see how they did stuff. Don't steal anything now... just be inspired! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]
