Well with my new pc I can finally use radiant again without having to wait 2 minutes when moving a brush... So I did some more work on that temple thingy I showed shots of earlier. I also managed to get rid of the bugs.

This is the slightly updated interior which you had seen before. (Assuming you saw my previous thread.)


No the flames aren't to big for the candles, cause they aren't candles. Somekind of flaming sticks the cult who build this temple has a patent on.

Then we walk out the front door and look back:


The reason that it's dark and the floor so bright is because this is the shadowside of the building.

the rest is just linked to spare the 56k-ers.

The roof texture (outside top) somehow doesn't seem right, a bit bright or blue or something. I agree about there being too many torches (it seems like), so could we get a shot of the player next to a torch or something?

Type /cg_thirdpersonangle 180 and /cg_thirdpersonrange (I think, or thirdpersondistance) [number between 10-200] to get a good screenshot (I haven't tried the range one, but I know it exists, that's why I can't give an exact number for that).

[The outside view of the castle wall looks simply incredible, by the way. Also, there's an area inside where the space between tiles is white and not orange, because the light range doesn't reach it. Will that change? It doesn't look like it should remain white, unless that's an ice temple, or something.]

Compile that with -bounce 8 -bouncescale 2, it should fix the contrast problems.

Also, you need a new effect for the flames.

Hmm.. Could do with another skybox as well. Looks very good aside from that.

the pics don't really show off the skybox very well, it shows that the temple is standing on a small hill surrounded by a graveyard.

I've been able to use my (faded and limited) knowledge of Latin on uncountable occasions. Decyphering stone subscriptions in churches and temples or other old buidings, in France, Italy, Sicily etc, for example. And ofcourse in various books, games and movies.
I really like Latin, the only reason I dropped the subject after 3 years is because I just generally suck at languages and Latin was no exception. If I had continued Latin I wouldn't have made the next year...
And to top that with a good Latin saying:
Absit

(= God forbids, or, Such a thing would not happen to a good heart.)

And ofcourse it makes me look smarter

Well I changed the roof texture to the Evil rooftile everyone uses because of that brightness thingy. But I'm using that texture you like in the interior too, so it won't go to loss.
