I like the one holding the battery, but it looks too much like gir for my tastes (unless it's supposed to [http://forums.massassi.net/html/confused.gif] )

I personally like the fork... oh the fork isnt a candidate for the mascot? nm then :P

As far as mascot-ing goes, the first would most likely be a better bet:

1) The robot is making eye-contact with the viewer.

2) He has an extended hand, as if to offer.

3) Assuming this mascot contest is for Duracell, you can see directly its application.

Where as the other pic:

1) Has two pics, diffusing a bit of a single idea.

2) The one holding a fork, while rationally is a stretch, can be taken as a bit threatening. Sporks, on the other hand, would be just fine [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

3) Neither is making eye-contact.

I do think the one standing on the globe by itself could work though as well. All in all, a likable mascot [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I like the battery one.. it is so cool......
make more with the batteries... something fun or playful.
