Legend of Zelda OoT - Forest Temple
2003-10-04, 9:46 AM #1
Here are some early shots of the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time. This is one of my favorit lvl's of all time so I decided to give it a little upgrade. Im going to have more eye candy than the original, mostly has to do with ligthing and new 3DO's. But if you guys have any questions or comments go for it.

Until you post screens of you walking around in it with a bryar and the JK HUD, I'm skeptical...

Looks very nice, in any case.

For the most part the darkness looks like mostly texture. I'm sure the lightning is not as precise as the texture shadows are, but either way, it looks awsome.

Uhm... i think he shot the shadow to show that its a real shadow. since the area where it was shot is close to the color or the area with no shadow. So unless he has a texture thats on top of another texture, and made the bottom textre not be affected by light, then that would be overly complex and omg runon sentence. Okay anyways, looks like a shadow to me, and the blaster bolt is proof (kinda).

No, there are not textures for the shadows, its just good'old JK lighting.But....errr...
I dont know if this will help you guys see that the shadows are real or not but... These shots are from JKEdit, I have 2 shots, one with lighting and one with out.I hope this helps a little bit.

[http://www.massassi.net/ec/images/12941.jpg] oh and ignor the lighting inside, Im still trying to find the right shade for that room to look right.

I honestly think that you've proven that, with the right skills, JKEdit CAN do better than JED.

And finally, can I have your man babies!?

Simply stunning, The lighting is superb since that is not texture. I love it. Are you doing the whole temple?

Give me a break... JED has much more to offer for any mapper than JkEdit. I've used both, and I'm saying this from experience.

On to the more important part -- the map. The lighting is pretty good, but you are bleaching the hell out of your environment in the first few shots in-game.
