That makes sense. Thanks a ton. Hopefully my map will look helluva better now, since I was actually using brushes to make the grates earlier... (GTK was very mad at me for it too)

Gonk, I didnt use EasyGen, I used the gtkgensurf. I never made an alphamap. Can I still use terrain texturing with the .map that I created with gtkgensurf? I'm real new to q3 engine mapping so Im not exactly sure what a metashader is or where to find it. Right now my .map has the same texture on all visible faces and caulk on all non-visible. I'd like to have the texturing of the blenjeel map, t1_danger. Where and when do I tell it what textures to use?

Gensurf only allows one texture for the entire terrain. Combination of Photoshop or PSP and EasyGen to do the terrain is vastly superior in my opinion. The tutorials at TramDesign explain it in detail.

ETA? I dunno yet. Depends on what goes on during development.

As for the size of the textures, just hit + or - on the numpad in EasyGen. That'll scale the textures accordingly.

Some things to note: I realize the lighting on the new building embedded in the hill is a bit too bright and washed out. I'm gonna work on that. I'm also trying to decide if I like the design. It'll probably change. The grass is greener if you compare to the last set of shots, thanks to Zully, and I've added a bit more to the bridges. I'm going to throw in some interior areas for a change of pace, but that door at the end of the new building's entrance isn't going to open. Just because. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Looks delicious. My only complaint is that textues of the terrain on the ground (2nd to last pic) looks kinda odd.
