Hi there. I've been working on a new TIE Fighter design called the TIE Reaper and thought I could just post it here to get some feedback on what could be improved.

These screenshots are taken in X-Wing Alliance BTW.

You'd better hope to god Saxman doesn't see this...

He'd mention all of the things I see wrong, but don't care to mention because the ship looks great. I think the fins could use a more uniform look though to be called a Tie Fighter.

I'm fairly certain they're both on the XWAU team together, so chances are Saxman has already seen it, if not helped with its design or offered input.

Looks too curvy for a TIE, but great model nonetheless.

Or a TIE Stinger, as the two top wings are kinda like a Scorpian with it's stinger whipped in front of it.

Looks like a Pyro-GX/other Descent bot hybrid, along with some really twisted monster (maybe for Doom, I dunno [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]) That would make me piss my pants if I saw one of thoses commin at me. Much less a flight or squad. Beautiful.

It looks great, but it doesnt make me think of a TIE. It's too good looking to be a TIE, too sleek. It doesnt have the extremely bulbous TIE cockpit. Also the name just doesn't fit with a TIE. TIE names are always utilitarian. Fighter, bomber, interceptor, etc...Reaper just doesn't fit.

But overall, looks sweet.

I started the model a few months ago. I've got rather much to do in real life, that's why I don't get forward as quick as I want to.

As awesome as that looks, I would love to see a version without the upper fins. Those upper fins make it too cramped/busy I think. I'm picturing it with just the bottom fins and it looks mean! Even better, replace the upper fins with guns, Like the guns on the ends of an X-Wing's wings, but much shorter and with a thinner barrel.

Uhh. TIE stands for Twin Ion Engine. It appears that you have four engines... making it a QIE Reaper. =P (Quad Ion Engine)

Still, it's awwwesome. Reminds me of a Clawcraft, as well.

The TIE descripion was used for the first of its class. However, it was kept for all the successors.

Concerning the top wings: Heh, this is already planned. I have extra meshes that'll come with that version. It'll be called TIE Blade.

No. In JA, those lights glow brighter and faster yuo go. They are the engines.
