well as my saber's still in the photoshop (ignore the bad joke), i decided to get the laterst version of Radiant, and build a map for duels based off an image i had in my head (strange how i can never seem to figure out where it came from.... meh). anyway,here's a screen from my new duel map. it has no official title, but is currently called "duel_arcane" (hey, i needed a name to save it...)



Comment? Suguestions? Trout thrown from various directions?

Hmm.. I don't like it that much. Of course, the skybox is nice, but both texturing and architecture are a little bland. Try adding some more detail.

Though i do skinning from time-to-time, texturing is not my specialty. unfortunately the skybox is not mine, so i can't make any alterations (though the skybox is open-source, which is why i'm using it).

As for architecture, i'm admittedly a little stumped. i can't really think of anything more to add, but if anyone is willing to throw some ideas in the pot, i'm open to suguestions.

Finally, YES I KNOW I MADE TYPOS!!! I'm having a little trouble addapting to the slightly slow refresh-rate of the Massassi forum textbox, so bear with me.

Keep in mind, this is an earlier build, so there is no sky box.. it's just an empty void.

I never said you had to make your own textures. Just apply ones that fit with the theme, and add more brushes to cover up repetivity.

In the first pic, the floor tile is too busy and repeats too much. And you should try adding more detail to the large pillar thingies.
