Comments? Suggestions? The Control cage will be getting a little more work for the crane controls, and the red lights will be continued on the far wall.

... Looks nice.. but it looks a lot like the default JA levels - which isn't THAT bad.. but it just misses.. something.. I don't know. And you could as well just keep your old thread updated.

I heard too many people complaining about old threads. Anyway, I will be looking to add more to the map. This is still prelim.

I got to agree with Gothix that it's missing something. I don't know. It has a lot of very nice detail, but the room itself is still very square. It's a square room with lots of detail, kinda. Maybe have some angled walls and that'll fill up the gap?

Oh and I like the lighting.

It's awful dark in there. Check out the hangars of the Death Star in ANH and RotJ, and of the Executor in the inserted scene from ESB:SE and they're quite brightly lit.

You might also look at the way they're shaped, too, especially with the "ribs" supporting the ceiling. That'd add a nice bit of structural detail to the walls. Given that we're looking at three different structures all with similar hangars it's probably a good bet that it's fairly standardized.

This is more meant to be a dark, dankly lit Sith Hangar. Really, it has no continuity, but I like to do things different with lighting effects. But trust me, lighting is not finished, and more will be added as I add more detail.

Tak about continuity... does anyone at Raven or Lucasarts understand that most forcefields that let ships in/out in the movies are invisible pretty much all the time? I see a lot of level makers make this mistake too, and it kinda saddens me. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] Especially when I saw Matt Surman's JO Death Star level have a very visible blue forcefield in the hangar, and he says he's being accurate to the movies! Hmm. Just a suggestion... however I do like the idea with the lighting. Keep it up.

Well, it's just a thought. Dimly-lit areas ARE nice for atmosphere, but maintenance crews don't have night-vision.

Its got lots of detail, but its still inside a big box. Add more detail to the walls and the floor. Make the walls at angles, give them some beams sticking out and curves. Put some recessed lights in the floor, or some lights sticking out.
