The lava is actually at the exact same scale as the Taspir singleplayer level, I thought it was weird too.

It definitely has a nice look to it. Even if you don't increase the scale of the lava, some shader waves would make it look a lot more dynamic.

You could also make it give off a red glow..or..this is pushing it a bit.. you could create moving decals along the walls around the lava that would do an even better job of simulating the effect.

The lava will already have the dynamic glow if it's turned on, what he needs are some fake caustics on the walls.

For some reason the lava isn't producing a glow, i'll be taking a look at the shader sometime in order to sort out waves too.

lighting is temporary and terrain is just a placeholder.

I think the over-all layout of the level is very nice.


Except the Terrain in your most recent picture... the shore of the lake of lava is very... pointy....
