I thought of doing Canyon Oasis, but it would have to be something pretty simple, or else it would be too confusing (running around on invisible floors with lots of red lines in sight all the time would make it impossible to play).

Everything you see (apart from the floor) is 3do's, so vertex lighting wouldn't make a difference. And anyway, it's supposed to be all solid colours, like the real Jed.

Also, it is possible. Ive seen someone work on it, but they never finished it, but if you had a good enuff scripter, you can do it, it just might take a long time :S

(Take TDIR For example, GREAT MOD! It just took a few years, but it came out as a totally origonal mod for JK. So many things in that mod that no one else did).

But yea, find someone good enuff, and im sure you can do it. Oh, idea just hit me, Talk to the guy who made that chest level for JK, maybe he might be able to help out.

I don't think it deserves SotD... yet....

I think doing CO would be a good idea. It might look confusing, but everonye knows the map already so it wouldn't be... although extruding all the surfaces to make it so you could see through walls would be hard, as would be the texturing... heh good luck man. You mention that the red lines of a regular map might become too much at times. You could make a map that goes mostly vertical and a lot of hallways to distinguish the main rooms.
