In the mean time, i will now show of my vague attempt to steal GothicX's thunder with my map before moping back off into my corner. The map has a name now: "The Northern Tower". It's part of a sith temple i designed a number of years ago. i may buld other parts of it, but for now, here's by evil-looking (albeit spartan) map:















As i said, I KNOW that the architecture is somewhat spartan, but it's still a WIP. I will do my best to spice it up, and hopefully i'll succeed.

Comments? Suguestions? My missing copy of JO?

It looks a lot better without the fog... I like that faint green light affect.

Now all it needs is a Skybox instead of Limbo hanging in the background..

****** SPAWN! If your gonna critique my map, tell me in person! as for the brushes, i hate to break it to you echoman, but they are more-or-less complete in the main chamber (i still have to add models and effects so put down your torches and pitchforks).

Speaking of effects, i will have to custom-craft an effect for the map (unless anyone is willing to help). If anyone has seen the movie "Star Trek: Nemesis" (yes, i like both Star Waars and Star Trek... DEAL WITH IT), there's a sequence close to the end of the movie where shinzon opens a chamber at the back of the Scimtar's bridge and you can see the thaleron partical beam. The effect that i want is similar to that.

The only area that really needs any more brush work is the corridor (there will be one more room connected to the corredor, and i will seriously improve that corridor... as soon as i can figure out how to add the detail without crashing my system (i don't have the specs to match Gonk or most of the other mappers on-site.

Well, thanx for the warm reception [grumble, grumble, grumble]. Mot many people seem to comment on anything that i submit these days, ah well, i'm abandoning this map indefinately, or @ least until i have a bit more experience and a few more ideas.
