Game: MotS Movie Short

This model is going to either take place as one of the 5 guardians of the big-bad guy, or I'll have a short film at the start of the normal movie, or something similar. Soon to have hands, magical hands, and feet, this bad-*** is equiped with an ancient piece of armor, guilded with a set of arms. The arms are handless yet. His normal form will have a JED made animatable cloak around his person in the classic anime-barrel style look. Not sure what weapon this little dood will fight with yet either.

Oh, he's my second player model, ever. So be harsh.

Questions? Suggestions? Critiscism? Hordes of Purple Mongeese?

The things on his back look a little goofy, and his chest is a weird shape. Other than that, it looks good.

The extra arms on the back will probably look better once they are bent.

depending on the effect you are trying to achieve its either really cool and original or its worse than a downsyndrome asian in a clown suit . But really, for a JK model that looks pretty fun. How you skin it will make or break it though. Keep workin

[EDIT] oh and weld those ***** vertices so you dont get random shading like that on his torso. It may not matter in game but it is a good modeling habit to make sure there are no leaks.

All vertices are in-fact welded, MS3D just makes strange shading-groups.

Funny thing, I don't remember even modeling this. I finished at like... 1:40 in the morning. But sure enough, man.ms3d is in my ms3d folder. The readme says that it took me 3 hours, I must have forgot to post that at the top.

I'll throw in some gauntlet hands, and pose him.

I really suggest you take a look at the flatshades, as they show the model off much better.








Shaped the chest a bit, added spike-hands for the back arms, adjusted leg placment, slightly resized hat, and made a few glamour shots. The cloak will part in the center, I'm only showing you a cheap MS3D slapup.

I based this character on Gaia from Battle Arena Toshiden 1. He's got big ole arms comming from the back of his armor too.

Say that when you fight them in game on the hardest difficultly level. They'll kick your *** in a heartbeat. Actually... they can do that on the easiest skill level as well.

I dunno, if you REALLY don't want your thing to look like that, make some more changes. I think the way the cloak lays right now on him is what reminds me of a Compiler.
