Small jedi academy ffa level i've been working on. Few probs - first of all i can't think of much interesting stuff to lighten up this corridor.

Second could anyone give me any tips of creating a sort of "broken level" I'm trying to create sort of an imperial type place thingy which is old and falling to pieces (hence that random slab falling to the floor) However that slab looks too sharp and doens't look like very broken :/ Any tips?

(oh and i haven't really used radiant that much recently - i always use it on and off and then get bored :/)

(oh and speaking of lightening up corridors maybe i should put a bit more lighting in here?)

Maybe change the texture of the ceiling too.

It's "Derelitce" /Zoolander

I'd say some support beams up top with lights, or just some sort of square lights up top, or some little red lights somewhere to give it color.

The hallway textures are pretty repetative

Would be solved by support struts, Avenger. Also, use white lights, it'll give it that clean, imperial look. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I'd say actually use lights with a faint orange tint, it'll give it a slightly older look, as though the bulbs are wearing out, but haven't been replaced.

Too boxy. Add more curves. Or angles that aren't 90 degrees.

First off, maybe make a new 'broken chunk' model. Using the same one over and over will look weird. Maybe expose some of the infrastructure of the walls by having holes in them that show the support system. Perhaps add some diconnected pipes and tubes and such?

i think i might just stop with the whole "broken down" type of level. I think maybe i'm not good enough yet to do that [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] (and if i am it would be too much work methinks)

more pics with light struts:

oh and another thing, i remember in JO singleplayer there was one level where you got to control a mousebot. Can anyone tell me if its possible to do that in JA multiplayer?

If it is, it would be nice to have a little secret where you can get in and are able to control a mousebot (perhaps under the glass bit [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif])

1.) Turn Dynamic Glow on for screenshots.
2.) Don't stretch the pipe texture that much.. please?

1.) yes ok
2.) wha... i haven't stretched any pipes :|

i realise my pipe is dodgy at one of the turns (am trying to fix it) but its not stretched.

Anyways will update with more screens in a bit (trying to add some curves in somehow [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif])

Maybe a container that slightly fell over at one of the sides?

Hallway looks a bit narrow... imperial ships have wider hallways, from the shots you see of the Death Star (those are REALLY wide) to snippits of Star Destroyers in some of the scenes with Vader. I think maybe making your hallways five men wide would be good? But whatever, it's your level. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
