I suggest...

Use a different brick texture on the top or bottom level. Add something else...some...substance. Make make some little alcoves off to the side on the top and bottom levels, and maybe some inset trim. That could look cool. Also, I suggest you cleave an outline of that catwalk below, and use negative surface light to make it look like a shadow (and obviously remove that lighting "X"). Or make several outlines, each with increasing size (have it be on the walls, too), and put a light above it and it'll make a diffusing shadow like you see in Brad's JK Arena level.

Edit: I also think you should triple the mip-map distances in the level header, and the 3DO LOD distances. Hit F6 in JED.

Please, darken... my eyes can't handle the light. Seriously though, the lighting and texturing just don't work. I'd suggest darkening it, improving the lighting, including some good shadows, and perhaps increasing the contrast on that texture.

It's an empty hall. It's a very *nice* empty hall, but still an empty hall. Add some random cool stuff like pillers, support beams, indented sections of the floor, alcoves etc, and it will soon transform from a decent level into a good one!
