subway station...the train takes you from this part of the level (downtown) to the other part of the level (chinatown) which is too unfinished to show yet.

This will be an sp level similar to GTA3 with a bunch of small missions you need to do for cash to pay off a drug debt. Basically it is like Wolfy's Life of a merchant.

Superb. Do note, however, how the texture is cut off abruptly by the archi in the second to last shot. The truck in the back of the hideout is somewhat out of proportion and the texture on the part of the back facing the cab looks out of place. Also note that the chain-link fence in the same shot just ends abruptly. It should have some sort of solid bar at the top, otherwise it looks like 3 story high chicken wire.

This level has truly legendary potential. Let's hope that you can actually release this one. ;]

Amazing. Very detailed. What is the framerate like?

Only error I found was that the texture for the foodstuffs in shot #2 are upside down. Looks like the cans and boxes have been superglued to the shelves.

Thanks for the comments. I will fix those things you mentioned Grismath.

Also, the framerate? I'm not sure but in some areas unfortunatly there is detail hom but it's mainly in places you wouldn't usually be (ie: on top of a building looking down at the whole street)

I'm not sure what the character will look like...I'll probably make a skin in a couple days.

Also, the level stats so far:

Sectors: 756
Faces: 7066
Things:135
Lights: 79

I'm not just posting this to be different, but you guys are just commenting on substantial archi with nice textures, some good 3do's and a nice light sprite, the level isn't anything special besides the wonderful textures.. but that's just MY opinion.

The advantage is is that you can 'borrow' movies for long amounts of time without him remembering that you borrowed them.

The disadvantage is the pizza cheese grime on the DVDs

Uhh... isn't 'substantial archi with nice textures, some good 3do's and a nice light sprite' the definition of a level? And isn't commenting on it the purpose of this forum?

I do agree, however, with the nature of your criticism. This is not an easy undertaking. Epic feats usually aren't. However; in many places you seem to sacrifice detail for breadth of scope. There are texture misalignments, incorrect proportions, solid textures, and black spaces that were not set as transparent.

I only bring this up because Monoxide does, but if it means a substantially longer wait until release, by all means ignore me.

I don't care what it is, it's awesome. Sure, the light sprites don't actually flare due to the engine limits, but I still like that bit of detail.
