My first image post on showcase forum in years. For those who don't remember, I authored "Tropical Island" which was included in Mlp2. The following, however is something obviously unrelated to J/k. The media is pastel chalk on paper, it's about 21 by 26 cm. I figured since this is the month of January the theme is appropriate, at least for most of the northern hemisphere.

This is not a specific place, just a composition of familiar elements from where I grew up.

It looks like something you'd find on a greeting card. Very nice.

Thanks!

As to printing up your own cards, I'll have to remind myself not to post high-res pics from now on :P I don't want a bunch of bootlegs floating around diminishing the value. :P I actually did use this picture as a card to send to family and friends, etc (etc=people who are neither family nor friends, or, friends and family who don't qualify as people). It's sort of an annual tradition now for me to make a card. I forget how many years I've actually been doing it. A few people have suggested I try and market stuff like this to a greeting card company. I haven't figured out yet whether I'm at the point where I should try to commercialize my art.

You should only do it if you need the money.
Nice picture, btw.

Wow, awesome. Definitely good enough to sell. I can definitely imagine that on a card or a calendar, or even framed.

Wow, it's certainly been a long time since we last heard from you. I guess this is the season for comebacks, eh?

Anyway, Tropical Island is one of my all time favorites, because of it's high artistic quality. I'm glad to see you haven't lost your touch. Great work.
