When the enemy forces enter the throne room and the guards are desperately keeping them away from the king, the king sees only one final option: He grabs the ancient and sacred wand that has been in his family's possession for years and calls upon its unknow, but without a doubt mighty, power. In horror he looks at the orb at the end of the wand as it slowly lights up...

Interesting feet. He's not exactly human, is he [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] ?

Did the feet give it away, or the small long neck perhaps, maybe the 12 fingers? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

Interesting picture. However, some of it doesn't make sense: if he's prepared for battle (as is suggestedby the armor, instead of ceremonial clothing), then why does he have what appears a crown that provides no protection, with a thin cloth hood (or whatever that piece is properly called), instead of something more protective? Many older crowns made for battle had a hood made from metal chain mesh.

But anyway, that's not shoddy work. Could you perhaps give more background on his species?

With those feet, he would be unable to stand without a tail. Pretty neat, but I think that different hands, a longer neck, and different feet doesn't really make a species much different from human, unless they're some kind of offshoot race.

[Edit]Did you think that maybe the armor is the ceremonial dress for the king? Many knights wore ceremonial armor that had little purpose other than to look neat.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like you tried to draw a human but the preportions were all off so you just added alien like features as an excuse?

Well, it still looks good, but if you want to change the species I suggest more then a slightly longer neck and different feet and a couple extra fingers. It looks like a human pretty much.

Proportions are fine. I like it.

No, it's not proportional. The legs seem too small for the torso.

The legs and feet are way too small in relation to the rest of the body. Apart from that, I really like it. Good work! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Relating to the race. No it's not a cover up for improportionate drawing. In fact this race plays a major role in the book I'm writing. The Race is named Zeltson, and it's a cross-bread between humans and another race I made up (The Zichoor, but that won't mean much to you). The legs were meant to be short, the only thing I'm not really satisfied about are his hands.

As for the armour, I must say I hadn't really gave it much thought. But I guess this could very well be a ceremonial leather armour. Normally he would probably wear much heavier armour. Humans often refere to his army as "The Iron Monsters", because of all the (high quality) armour they wear in battle. The land they come from was very rich in ironore.

The left hand only shows 3 knuckles, and one of the fingers seems to be coming from the wrong direction. Either way, his hands are different. I disagree that he'd need a tail to stand. Though proportioned as he is, it's doubtful he could stand in the first place.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I also have an Elfwood account. There isn't that much on yet, though. And this picture is probably better than any of the ones on there.
