Homing a missile in on Kyle -- the weapon used

You all remember when I guided the missile toward Kyle last month right? Well, here's part 2 [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif].

Since the Nighfire team is currently kinda short on permanent modellers/keymakers, I have decided to put forth some of my effort toward that area. Here is the latest model of the AT-420 Sentinel. I will soon make more textures for the rest of the model.

BTW, the reason there seem to be extra cleaves in certain spots is so that there is no overlapping/disappearing surface problems (ie. the scope is rendered behind the rest of the gun and periodically pops out in front when you move). Thanks to Freelancer for helping me solve this problem (October '03, when I first registered on the forums); otherwise, this gun would not have been posted.

Also, the only reason I posted the image with the "In Game (Dark lighting)" description is because I thought it looked cool. The lighting makes it look almost like JO.

Very cool! Nice looking yet low-poly. Even though that's the most overused texture for JK guns, I still like it. It looks pretty big. Does it cover up much of your FOV like the assault cannon did in DF? Maybe you could post a full size shot so we can see how big it is in the first person view. And glad I could help [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

The Sentinel didn't have a scope. It was long green and didn't have a handle.

[Edit: Wait, that is from another bond game..but I am pretty sure that it looked about the same in the others]

Still better then I could ever do...I can texture a box!..yeah I suck.

At the request of Freelancer, here's the full-screen screenshot.

Tonly Bond games I've played are Goldeneye, Agent Under Fire, and Nightfire. Rod-Nog, that pic you posted looks like the MRL from AUF. I don't know if that's really what it is, but the Nightfire Sentinel does have a handle and a scope. It is also green, as you said. Here is a screenie i found (blew it up 450%).

Look like a rocket launcher, which is what it should look like. Simple, but gets the job done.

Looks nice- will look even better once you have it textured! It reminds me of the Black Whirlwind... (A replacement for the Assault Cannon in DF)

Very nice! The green contrasts a bit with the black scope though, it doesn't quite look right, but then those tex's probably aren't permanent. As for the level with that first screenshot ingame, it looks awesome. What level is that? At a vague guess I'd say the caviar docks multiplayer level? Hmmmm. The level is the "Big Nar" level (an extended version of the LEC NS level w/4 floors; it's not bad!).

As for the textures, yeah, they may not be permanent. My brother stole a Teacher's Edition of Vocab Workshop [http://forums.massassi.net/html/mad.gif], so now my Playstation is impounded [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] . As a result, I haven't gotten a chance to check the game in over a week, so I'm working from memory. Though I think the green was darker...not entirely sure, as said.

The "Sentinel" looks nice... Although am I right to believe that you'll be using a darker, more neutral texture?
