I admire the color theory and artistic design of it... It's not just another high-tech imperial base.

I think it looks like it could be a level from some sidescrolling game like Smash Bros.... Just like... from the side view.

And remember, it's a duel level, don't overdo it [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

You would think saber fights in the dark would be fun because of the dynamic light, but truth is that it's more frustating than fun because you can't see what you're swinging at. I would shoot for more dim and less dark. So you can see what you're killing but still admire the flashes and sparks in the low light.

the problem i have is my monitor is very light, to me that looks reletivly well lit, but dim...so its hard to adjust to what is needed.
2004-02-16, 2:50 PM #5
I'd suggest adjusting your monitor's brightness to a point where you only have to adjust gamma in games very little. So for JO/JA, to a point where you aren't too far away from the 6.

you still can see the box. you added some nice formations, but it's like a box with stuff clinging to the walls. try punching the box out in parts, have sloping walls, things like that.

Looking very good. Kinda reminds me of my trip to Mammoth Cave NP last summer, in Kentucky. Some of the caves used to be Saltpetre Mines, and were filled with abandoned mining equipment and deteriorating wood bridges, ladders, and stairs.

Is it just me, or could a sigle kick with the staffsaber decide the outcome of a duel within 10 seconds, on this map?

a couple more pictures, the lighting is just a place holder so dont be concerned about that. And i'v upped the contrast on all the pictures this time to avoid load times on the page.

I like it, but I feel that those pillars/supports are too "straight" when compared to the rickety nature of the bridges.

I'm guessing the "mystic" relates to the "HOW THE F*** DID YOU MAKE THAT!!!!!!!???????"
Code:

  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
