Angels

I see darkness coming,
The powerful night.
Fear is growing on me,
A wish for new light.

With pain as its ally,
Darkness is here.
I can feel it coming;
The ending is near.

But when my hope dies,
Along with my soul,
I see a bright light,
Hear revelation's call.

I stand up, I fight,
Ignoring the pain.
I won't let this go,
It won't be in vain.

Before that light saved me,
I feared I would die.
Now I stand here,
With light by my side.

That light is brighter,
Than the sun will ever be.
That light is an angel,
The one who saved me.

The flame in her eyes,
Takes away all my fear.
I know now for certain,
Revelation is near.

unsettling yet well done.

What made you write such a thing? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Most impressive! I had to read it twice, such a beautiful text it was. I have find it terribly hard to write poems, even in my native tongue, even if writing otherwise is very fluent for me.

Writing poems demand some special understanding, some special feeling and especially a need to do it. You do have all those, and it shows in your text. You are a remarkable artist, all in all, GothiX.

It reminded me of a poem I wrote a few weeks ago. That things deep. I love it.

Yeah, it's nice. But I don't like happy poems, so...i'll just adjoin the line 'Death came unexpected.' to the end (only in my head, calm down), which will of course ruin the fluency, rhyme and rhythm of the poem. But that's the nature of death, it is an ending to everything, beauty, strength, even hope. And it's always the same. Death, period.

It'd actually make a nice eminem-ish rap .. I just tried it to a relatively moderate beat and it comes out pretty well xP

Very nice writing. The imagery is a plus.
