The first two are the actual level, the others are the portal skybox. It's Nar Shaddaa. Comments such as "it looks like Coruscant" or "it looks like Taris" will be met with an immediate ban!

It may just be because I'm unable to actually check it ingame, but, just from that reference image you posted and the screenies, it seems kind of like the fog in that portal skybox should be a darker shade of blue with a slight bit of purple in it, or that it should at least be thicker.

Cool! But it really doesn't look like nar Shaddaa. No, it doesn't look like Coruscant or Taris either. But.. where are the stars? And why is there.. a ground? In that picture you provided, it looks like the orange is coming from a planet or moon, not from an atmosphere.

It is too bright, it just needs to be dim, not dark. Because it sucks when it's too dark that you can't see to kill.

And Nar Shaddaa does have a ground level somewhere, and various other ground levels on top of that.

My only gripe is that Sine has followed the screwed-up colour pallatte in Dark Empire I (which got really annoying at times). That being said, i agree that the ground should be changed. As the sky is a dawn/dusk type (finally, we get to see Nar Shadaa at a time that's not night), i feel that the ground should probably be something like what they did for Coruscant in EP2 (with the lights from the streets of the underlevels)

That's what those blue lines are supposed to be.

I'm still working on the ground, but since Nar Shaddaa is a moon, it does have a surface, regardless of whether we've seen it before. Also, there's no way the planet is perpetually in Nal Hutta's shadow. It has to see the light of day some of the time

Ah, I didn't realize Nar Shaddaa was actually a moon. I mean, it's not like you can deduce that from Playing DF or JK. In DF, if you fall offa ledge, you just fall out into endless space. It's not like you can tell you're in orbit or anything. Same goes for JK, especially the level 1 movie.

Nice work, Sine. It would be really impressive if you could get smooth, good-looking wisps of clouds rolling along through there; then it would look just like the concept for Nar.

The first two shots (and all the other shots I've seen of the same tower) remind me of Metroid Prime for some reason. That's obviously not a bad thing.

I don't understand why the lines are so thick...If you think of a person standing on those, it would be like 100 feet wide or something. Just compare it to the windows for scale.

Great Work! Looks like my vision of Nar Shaddaa. Personally I think that the DF/JK/JO
version of Nar is not so good. This looks more like the version of the "Vertical City" from the Dark Empire comics. And yes Nar Shaddaa is a moon, hence the nickname the "Smuggler's moon".
Just a few suggestions: Skip the sunset, it looks too much like Coruscant. Maybe you can have the big green/orange/pink sphere that is the neighboring planet of Nal Hutta almost covering the sky instead. And in the comic "Twilight" you can read that only the
highest spires and towers ever get some sunlight. Only the richest of Nar Shaddaa live up there.
Nar have a surface, but it is several km down. Your shots shows a surface with lights and looks very shallow. Would look better if the bottom would be covered in darkness and fog, since the lower levels has been abandoned for several centuries and the lights went out a long time ago. Nowadays, only mutants and other monsters roam the darkness below. The deep shafts is also covered by smaller slightly shorter buildings
than the high docking towers. You may also add some large advertising-screens on some of the walls. If you don´t have the Dark Empire comics, Buy them! Much Inspiration there.

It probably reminds you of Phendrana Drifts area. They had a part of the space pirate facility that had similar 'broken' architexture there. Yea, I'm that much of a freak.

Anyway, it looks great, but it looks as if there is very little room for fighting. One jump, and your dead...

Yeah, I really don't get what those lines are for. The surface would be very far down anyways. And I do believe we see it in Dark Empire 2, though I don't remember what it was like exactly, except bluish-green rock... For the skybox, I'd say fade the sides down to black, not that light blue with odd lines... And perhaps add some non-gameplay platforms and stuff all around... Can't see very much, but it seems like the fighting area is somewhat seperated from a very dense city. Just kidna feels off.

(I personally liked the DF version. It was just kinda a floating platform to me. As for dropping into space, I see that as more having to do with the limitations of the engine than anything... didn't care for JK version though... I dunno, it just seemed odd, not really interesting...)
