Just for a brief description, it's a very small duel map that take place on yavin, it's only a beginning but I think it's pretty good...

Oh, and for the screenshots, I got them but the editor corner says to me that I took an unvalid image file... strange... and I don't remember how to put my image here...

Some help and comments about the idea please...

If you have screenshots...

Go here. Or to any other place where you can upload the screenies.

Otherwise this thread is doomed.

Just make a block (remember the thing that is remaining in a simple flat thingy...

-Now, selevt in the curve menu: "simple patch mesh"
-A window will apear and it will say how many rows, lets say 5x5, do it and press "O.K"
-press "v" to bring the vertex-editor up. Now bring the patch's sides, asuming it is in the air 1 down, so the top will come up. Now try to vreate some crazy objects [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]!!!

Much better... But you can still tell it's basically a big box. Try adding cracks in the wall and adding angles to the corners. Add junk.
DO NOT WANT.

Maybe some doors or ladders as well. right now, it looks like this big stone pit with no escape.

It's because I made it for a Duel map, and(with a little imagination [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]) think that you falled into the pit and you're condemned to stay here because of your fault...

Like a mini-temple designed for torture purposes (I could add some fire and mad laugh for the ambiance...) Maybe some cracks and junk too, to make it old...

And definately get some more variation in textures. All that stone clashes very badly.

But it seems too small for a good duel, just so you know.

TRY TO GET AN EYE FOR DETAIL!!! not a flame or something, just try to do as much detail as you can... BUT try to not give it a low memory, or you can get a little room that is running very slow (like my first level [http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif])

Plant some trees and bushes, it is going to look good. Try to make some detail on the wall and try to add some more textures to the map, i mean the walls

The button tree planter doesn't work anyway...

And finally, after a little brainstorming, I thinked about maybe add a big door and make an exterior, with another wall...

Comments/suggestions about that?

It looks OK, just use these tips:

A. Don't make it look like a lightning bolt. Easily fixed.

B. Put something in the black area of the brush, like a dirt texture or something, to show that there is something behind the stone.

Otherwise, it'll do fine. Just do a bunch more [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]
