Looks dark, but at the same time very good for a first ever level! Great effort, but it still needs tons of work. And to ask the same question as Echoman, is it for the RollMod?

Thanks

The architect isn't that great and quite boring. Prehaps start with a solid level design?

I think what echoman's trying to say is you should do everything perfectly first, then ask for comments :P

Nice to see lighting in a first level. I didnt pick up on lighting for about 2 or 3 levels. However the archi is quite boring and in some places textures are unstitched. Maybe you should do an inside level for your first, as outside archi can be rather hard.

a for effort is what I always say.. I once had it to making maps for JK.. I lost intrest because of JO and JKA looked more sexier and well.. was more easier to work with.. I will get back to JK one day.. But, every single JK map editor.. I have seen work from, pics are always too dark.. Its not me or anything.. arg.. maybe JK is hard to work with on lighting or its just how the mappers want it to look? But if I was the mapper making this map.. I sit here listening to linken park, p.o.a. (points of athuority.) and think a dusk (blueish nightime lighting, strong enough so we can see a streak of light coming down on a angle.) with a lifting fog, the kind you would expect from silenthill, nightmare creatures..

but, if this is going to be a industrial kind of map.. A imperial outpost in the middle of a moutian.. gotta give off places where you can see light from.. fog too.. gotta love the fog! But good work, Nothing special but this is a WIP afterall.. we are yet to be surprised!

SilentSavur, it's kind of impossible to implement fog or color lighting in Jedi Knight (assuming he isn't doing it for MotS for the latter part).

As for a first level, it is looking good so far. I'm happy that unlike some new mappers, you actually made an ATTEMPT to light the level instead of leaving it all-day bright. I have to agree that doing outside stuff right now may be to advanced at your stage of development. Might want to work with inside stuff first because making terrain can be messing, especially given JK's limitations.
