Just for comparison, the last revolver I made (sometime a year or two ago).

My first thought when I finished the model was "Hooray, now I can start 40 TC's again!" Sadly, that won't happen.

It looks good, but something about the handle bothers me. It either curves a bit too far back, or it's too thin...Maybe it's a combination of the two, but other than that it's awsome. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

The handles were really like that Dark_Knight, the authentic 1800 ones were anyways, I don't know about the remakes

Where the handle connects with the gun seems off. Also the rotating bullet piece (I don't know technical term), seems off.

I'm pretty sure the handle's right, I've checked a number of references. As for the chamber, there're a couple of things I know for a fact are wrong. For one thing, the whole length of the chamber doesn't have those depressions on the outside, they taper off somewhere around the middle. In addition, I don't really know how that opens/connects and couldn't find any good pictures demonstrating that mechanism, so I sort of winged it. If anyone can find a picture of how that actually fits together, I'll fix it.
2004-06-13, 12:35 PM #27
Oh, and I was just kidding GBK.
2004-06-13, 3:38 PM #28
I looked around but couldn't find a good picture of a revolver where the cylinder rolls out the side :\

It's kindof hard to explain, but it makes sense when you see it. There's just a hindge in there that allows it to slide out. You could do it like that, or you could just have it break in half like a double-barreled shotgun. some revolvers load that way.

I was referring to point where handle meets the rest of the gun. I believe, that they should be just about the same width, whereas your handle is wider.
