Hi, I moded a while ago for jk but moved on and now I'm back. To properly debut my work in the community I thought I'd show you some models which I've made over a while.

Are you sure it's an MSG? It looks like a G3A3 or FAL.

looks good,
but a few problems,
the flash supresor on the Halo sniper doesn't slant back like that, it's a square.

and the needler needs alot of work

I've been working on a Halo mod for Q3 & EF. it was originaly for JO but modding JO just ticks me off, too many random problems and crappy MP rendering.

I don't have JA but if someone wants to convert the stuff I'd be happy to pick it back up.

The Needler might not be exact, but it looks damned good as is. I couldn't tell it wasn't exact anyway.

If you make a mod, make it JK. I hate JO multiplayer with a passion.

the entire point of a mod is to change the game, so it wouldnt matter if you liked or disliked a game, because hopefully it would no longer be like it... or at least the parts you didnt like would be changed.

im gonna have to disagree with djwguitarman. It looks like his needler is actually... more detailed than the halo pc version. i never really liked halo (at least not SP. MP was fun for a few lan parties. ut2k4 is just.. omfg... halo^29383), but thats still a real nice model.

True.However, I hate JO multiplayer for the same reason I hate demo HaloPC multiplayer. Every person, with the exception of very few, I ever try to play with is either a complete and total jerk or a moron. With that in mind, I believe the changing of the game wouldn't be the problem as the same people would still be playing.Yea, you have those same idiots playing JK as well, but I hardly ever run across them. This could probably partially be attributed to the fact that I play with lots of people that I trust.

UT2k4 is awesome, yes, but it reminds me more of a Halo on steroids than anything else.

Either way, I'd love to see something like that in JK becuase it might do what the Stargate mod is doing. Pushing the limits of what the game engine is capable of doing and showing it off with spectacular results.

I guess it was inevitable that there'd be a couple of idiots who take the piss out of people because of accuracy - anyway the needler is pretty much right on as i modeled it ontop of a screenshot of one lying on the ground and you've got to remember that the bungie model there is smoothed in the render. Its also kind of funny that you're critisizing my models when you're models (djwguitarman) are further from perfect than mine (btw you can't use the word 'halo' in the title of your mod). I'm not really sure about your critisism GBK, can you elaborate?

So, I was looking at the links that Mano posted, and coincidentally, they also have the model that the Halo Sniper rifle is apparently based on. The only differences seem to be in the scope and stock.

I'd have to agree that the back side of the needler is a bit inacurate. I understand if you modeled it ontop of a screenshot, but maybe you can place your model over an ingame shot of the weapon being held? Otherwise, I say you're being a bit harsh if you think djwguitarman is out of line in his critique, you're severelly mistaken. I really don't care how well someone's models are, they can still give critique on someone elses... I also don't think he was trying to offend you.

I can't judge that. For two reasons,
(1) I don't have it.
(2) Parents won't let me get it.

...both of which will disappear after I move out.
