I was bored today and decided to mess around with photoshop. So I took a picture I made with my digital camera of some clouds and manipulated it in different ways. Tell me what you guys think...

I agree, those pics are rather ugly to me.

Meh, I don't know about how pretty I wanted them to be, it was more or less to see how I could manipulate a normal sky into strange things by using the same filters with different colors.

The first pic reminded me of inside a person's lungs.

Second reminded me of DNA strands all clumped up.

Third just looked cool.

Fourth looked like some sort of biochemical that would be in Half-Life.

5th and 6th didn't really remind me of anything but I thought they looked kinda nifty.

7th looked kind of like the vapors we picture to be in Venus.

8th looks like a nebula.

Really I thought they turned out pretty cool from what they originally were, which was this.

Look like some sort of chemical or something, except for the 2nd, 7th, and 8th. #8 is like...60's.

this is true. I started learning photoshop doing the same thing you are doing now, and eventually mastered most features of the program (after many years of practice, and a couple design classes). Keep at it

I like it. I mean, it's no Mona Lisa, but it's cool. Fun looking too. You should make them into a .gif, and have them cycle through really really fast and spin!
