Took this picture the other day. I didn't mean to get my hand in the picture, but I kinda like it there...

I like how everything is out of focus, even the stem, except for the top of the flower. Nice job.

That's my hand. I wish it was either in focus or out of the picture, but oh well...

That's your hand? Well, chop it off so that it won't invade any more pictures! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Just joking! Good picture. Like SAJN_Master said, the focus-unfocus contrast is quite brilliant.

And what, pray tell, would an ASA be? Sorry, I know photography, but not the technical terms for everything, I'm completely self/father taught.

Phear...wtf? ASA is in referance to the film speed. that'd have nothing to do with how this picture was taken.

looking at the grain i'd say he was using a high speed film, probably 400, but perhaps 800. (i have this unhealthy obsession with 800 for some reason..)

what you probably meant to ask was what was your aperture setting. it was probably something high like 2.6 or 1.4 (in photography almost everything is backwards, except shutterspeed.) judging by the extremely low depth of field, and he was probably using a wide angle lens. 35mm lens?

Good guess Ford, I was using 400 speed film.

My aperture was around 4.5 and I was zoomed in all the way with my 28-80 lens.

Ford - Will 800 speed film give me more grain?
