Call it a unique cosmic/geological phenomenon. The surface is covered by an ocean of lava, while the core is hollow, protected from the lava by a solid barrier. The only way to get in/out is through those access tunnels.

Nope. There are several circular force fields around that entrance to prevent the lava from swapping over the edge. Also, those entrances have gates that can be sealed(not ingame of course)

As far as I know it's been pretty much dead for like about 2 years now. If you're looking for atmospheric OPTs however, I've been creating some themed atmospheric OPTs for my Blue Phantom Project. They're already available for download.

The XWA version is currently placed on hold.

However, those of you who posess Freelancer will be happy to find a preview version in Silvik's TIE Universe Mod, along with some other fighters by Darksaber.

It'd depend on a try.

Unless all players don't ahve the same OPTs installed to the same slot, using the same spec. numbers and other stats, the game will most probably crash.

So do the TIE Bomber, the TIE Advanced X1(Vader's TIE) and some others. The TIE Defender and the TIE Phantom both have 3.
