Several members of my crew decided to form a (mostly martial arts) film group .. (another one of our crazyass ideas) .. xP Anyways, as I haven't designed or PHPd in pretty much a year, I volunteered to make a simple site (and no one else knows crap about making sites anyways) .. I've worked on it for about 7 cumulative hours over 2 weeks; there isn't anything up right now, just the design and the NEWS SCRIPT which I just finished .. there's a simple, clean admin CP where people can post news and it shows up on the main site .. 5 most recent headlines are displayed up to with anchor links to 5 most recent news posts below, any news posts past the 5 most recent are in the archive .. it's quite simple (30 minutes of work ish) but I'm happy with it anyways xP

Well bleh, I'm not particularly good at making martial artsy images or whatever .. we're primarily tkd/hapkido/wushu, so if anyone wants to photoshop something that goes with the color scheme *cough*

Btw, for some reason line breaks (<br> )s don't show up more than once in IE .. Like I had a news post

It's not a banner, and it's much more practical than a static one in this case .. since static ones would alter the size of the table cell and become messy based on the size of headlines ... or, I'd have to write a cutoff for each headline that's too long to preserve size, which would make ugly ...s or whatever.

I just don't like movement on websites that is content that I actually need to read. I innitially ignore movement on a site, assuming it's a banner ad.

Pommy: the reason the BR's suck in that script is probably because of <blockquote>. IE has horrible implementation of <blockquote>, so try getting rid of it and see how that works. If it works okay, instead of using blockquote for margins, use CSS.
