Yeah i got Photoshop 7.0.1 yesterday and i just though i'd showcase my first work out of Macromedia FireWorks MX

i know its rather n00bish but yeah...

How is it n00bish? Looks great to me, I really like the texture style you've presented - cracked and blurry. Was that originally a photograph or a drawing?

Thats why i said it was n00bish

I put together a few filters i downloaded so I got this sketch effect. im still working on it but i just thought i'd show you what my first Photoshop creation was.

I couldnt sketch like that if there was a gun to my head :-P

Just because she's attractive, doesn't mean that a few poorly applied filters on a picture of her constitutes good art in the capacity of a sketch. Without the filters, I'd say it would be a decent photo. But as a 'sketch' of sorts, it frankly is pretty bad.
