Heres a bunch of screenies from another of my major mods I'm working on.
Some features will be:
  • realistic stationary prone
  • 8 pistols (surpressor {scilencer} and akimbo also), Wlather P99, Sig Sauer P228, Baretta 92FS, Browning Hi-Power, Colt .45, H&K Mark23, FN Five-Seven, IMI Desert Eagle and a (throwing) knife
  • Improved fists/hand to hand combat
  • Accurate 3rd Person Crosshair
  • Truer to life Night Vision Goggles
  • Cinematic camera deaths
  • Dodge
  • Bullet-time (TM)
  • Enimies useing true bullets
  • Extra camera angles and effects
  • Realistic bulletholes and bloodspray

Unfortunately theres no way to really get rid of the HOM. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Heres what needs to be done:
  • Rest of the weapon models and animations
  • Textures
  • HUD
  • Rest of the sounds
  • Do rest of the AI's
  • Coding touchups
  • Making sure it works perfectly in MP


I'll be releasing this version hopefully by next week.

And I have a few questions that need to be answered:
  • Should I include pistol whip?
  • Should I do anything with the force powers/stars system, if so what?
  • Should I work on this first, Aliens TC, or SATNRT (if anyone remembers what that mod is [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif])?

Please at least try to answer these questions. Thank you in advance

The force-powers can changed to Powers
like in Deus ex or Project Breakdown...

Having quickly played a super small version of this preview, I can say the models are ok,but the sounds and effects are where its at!!! Seriously, the bullet shells are excellent, the blood brilliant, and bullet time is amazing cos even the sounds slow down!!! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

I think you should include a pistol whip. Maybe add some effects that make you half-unconscious?

Maybe include a special grappling hook gun?

If you don't have lasersights, put them in.

Did you say this game has reload animations? If not, you should include them.

Also fire them like some movies have and have the guns be able to go sideways mode and vertical (normal) mode.

And as for the force powers...

Maybe add in some Deus EX and some Matrix stuff.....like force jump can be long jump...force seeing can be thermal vision that lets you see through walls :P

Force Grip can be a special choke maneuver, twice the damage when unsuspected from the back. Force Destruction can be a missile :P

Force Persuasion could be something that has you putting on a disguise.

Force Speed could give you running shoes.

Force Throw only works if you're facing your opponent up close...you grab him and throw him across the room [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] (makes for some interesting movie-like animations)

Force Lightning could make you go kamikaze and stand in one spot and unload your entire clip in a lightning rage all across the level hoping to kill someone... [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Force Blinding could only work in a dark area when the person has nightvision on. It's a little tactical flashlight on the end of the gun that you shine in his face to temporarily blind him [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Force Protection could be bulletproof kevlar (or kevlar that just lasts for a short time)

If I missed any force powers (besides the dark one which gives you "eyes of death", which I would just take out of the game), let me know.

Oh, and there IS a difference between suppressors and silencers. A suppressor does little to reduce the sound (a slight change), but a silencer takes all/most of the noise out.

I'm just going to leave the rest of the force powers as is b/c I've already revamped the hotkeys and to have stats isn't really what I have in mind. I still don't exactly know what I'm going to do with the secondary fire yet...

Sorry to make you type all that out Xizor1, and I'm stacked to the limit as is. A surpressor is a scilencer, it surpresses the sound to a very low amount where you cna only hear it if your close by.

I can wait, but I must say, it looks incredibly fun. It seems the latest fad in JK has been to make Kyle do Bullet-time. It's almost as common as the infamous grappling hook side common in many mods. Would you like Bullet time with that order? :p

If you make other versions of this, (and you should) consider the lasersights, extended mags..and the force changing...what good is a realistic mod if it has all these sci-fi powers :P
