So I dug up my old JK and found my old projects and I don't think they're that bad, especially for an archaic game like JK, so I came to post this.

Awesome stuff, but the guns and arms are to thin and the saber is a rectangle.

OMFG... make a few more weapons to go with that army model, and release a multiplayer army mod.. those are sweet man, they own CS... please release it into some sort of pack dude -- be sure to include realistic damage too, not 50 shot kills or that crap.. if you make the mod of course (which I hope to dear God you do)

update
BTW The lightsabers are for another mod. For JKadvanced (I released a version once). The blur is rectangular because I thought it would be a break from the triangular blurs of SBX, Glowsaber, GCW, and the list goes on...

anyway, I'm definatly going to make sure the guns do good damage. They weapons don't really do headshot damage, but I can put that in if you have to have it, since there's a sniper rifle I'm leaning towards it.

Player model wireframe, more polys. it is supposed to kinda have a skirt, the jackets on the uniforms go lower than the waist

M4 1st person model, lotsa polys. JK can handle more than most people think. Makes me wonder if LEC just got lazy after they made the game engine.
All models are made in JED and textured with force remap

I do plan on releasing them. Right now in the army mod I need some ideas.
I don't know what I should replace some weapons with, or if someone has an idea for a weapon.
My weapons so far:
1: fists, but maybe a knife
2: Pistol (based on p228)
3: SMG (based on mp5)
4: thermals no change, maybe grenades
5: bigger pistol (based on desert eagle)
6: assault rifle (based on M4)
7: sniper rifle (based on m21)
8: seqencer charges no change, I'm thinking of making them some kind of deathly explosives (probably C4)
9: conc rifle no change, I'm thinking some kind of machine gun.
0: saber no change, I have no idea what to make it.

That's not all, In later versions I might make alternative weapons, like being able to choose between an AK-47 instead using an M4 or an UZI smg instead of the mp5 smg, just as an excuse to put even more weapons in, maybe even for team based weapon selections.

Wow.. that looks so sexy dude.. ok my suggestions: Weapons:

#1 KA-BAR or similar Knife
#2 Yeah a P228 pistol is cool man
#3 That's fine
#4 Fragmentation Grenades
#5 Fine
#6 Fine
#7 Fine
#8 Yeah, C4 or something like that
#9 M60, or M249, a light machine gun (if you want to make the mod REALLY unique go for an MG-42... > [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif] hehehe)
#0 AT-4 Rocket Launcher (Make it so you can only have like.. 5 rounds of ammo for it at one time.. to balance it)


Just some of my ideas, and I suggest you make a few more cool commando/soldier skins like the one you have for MP, trust me, if you keep going in the direction you are for this mod, this will be a must-have mod... oh, and props to you in the Sniper Rifle, I really like the scope effect you've done.

New player models are a sight for sore eyes. Just by releasing a mod with upgraded player models you'll be doing the JK editing community a huge favor. Have you considered making remakes of the default MP models and weapon models, so there would be a higher poly-count model set for basic JK?

blasters3, new stun option on new blaster rifle like in the movie, but I made it more like a taser instead of the blue ring things from the movie

new machine gun, sorta based off the m249. I think it needs more detail

For the Army Mod I made the saber a rocket launcher, and thermals frag grenades. Models for the grenades and weapon 8 are the only weapons I don't have yet. Other than those, every other weapon is done. I might add detail to certain models though, like my rocket, DE, and machine gun have low detail compared to the other weapons.
-edit: should I put in ejecting shells?

The other mod I'm not working on because I think it has enough. It doesn't have any other saber colors besides blue though.

Although, I'm not sure how buggy or not they are in Multiplayer because the last mod I released(JKadvancedbeta0.01) was crawling with bugs. They work very well in single player besides some levels not loading(but they dont load on other mods either, like sbx or something, so I guess the levels have the problem). I'm not a master at multiplayer cogging, but I tried to make it as lagless as possible, my projectiles don't even use the notoriously laggy triggers in client/server cogs, I'm trying something else that I think might actually work and already works flawlessly in Singleplayer.

Yeah Id add a bit more detail on the M249 -- it's a very solid design and layout though, I like it, everything else seems tip top shape, but make different weapons do different damages, but realisticly, like the M4 would do more damage than the MP5, and Desert Eagle would also do more than the MP5 because of the larger calibur, you know what Im saying? Make it so that it doesn't take a thousand shots to kill someone, I say you keep it fast-paced

The damages I have set I think will be good:
Knife - 75 (goes through shields)
P228 - 50 (normal)
MP5 - 50, I want it to share ammo with the p228 so yeah
Hand grenades - 350 splash damage
Desert Eagle - 200, uses its own ammo
M4 - 75
M21 - 250, uses its own ammo
Sequencer Charges - lol nothing new yet
M249 - 100, but shares ammo with M4
Rocket Launcher - 350 splash damage, 5000 for a direct hit, hehe. I made it one shot since there's no ammo counter for weapon 10 and I think one shot will be good because I made the explosion radius pretty big, like 1JKU (I think 3 meters if you compare it to real life), thats bigger than a conc bullet's.

I can change any of them if anyone thinks they aren't well balanced

I say the Desert eagle should do 150 damage, not 1 shot 1 kill with it.. that would be cheap, I say no weapons should get 1 shot 1 kill unless it's a headshot except the grenades, the knife, and the rocket launcher, just my 2 cents, but the new M249 looks shibby good job.

Ok here are some bloody action shots, well.. sorta bloody.. I need to work on the blood I guess lol. Most of the shots are of the m249 because of its mowing down of stormtrooper capabilities:
changing clips

mowing down stormtroopers with a big machine gun is so fun

except when you run out of ammo and need more

shiny brass stuff piling up on the floor

I agree. Dynamic lighting does so much for gun models though. I just need to figure out GBK's flicker prevention cog.

I'm pretty sure I took a shot of the DE because p228 looks very different. It's one of the older models. I think it was shown a long time ago in an earlier thread about another army style mod I made it for that is now dead. Right now I'm taking a break at uploading pictures. I think 29 pics in 4 days is alot hehe. I hope the place I hosted them at doesn't come after me

BTW I submitted the next JKadvanced mod today. I hope it works

edit: almost forgot, the level I took the action shots in is terrorist warfare or something, its a multiplayer Co-op level but it has tougher stormtroopers so I use it instead of normal single player, the dynamic lighting shots are from a stupid testing level I made to test random cogs and things.

I got some ideas you might or might not be interested in, 1st of all make more Soldier skins, pherhaps it could be some type of Allies VS Axis type of mod.. infact pherhaps you could make it into a TC so there would be a few maps for it where you could either play as the Allies or the Enemies so to say. Pherhaps a bit like Battle Field? and i see you make very nice models. then pherhaps you could make driveable tanks and such? helicopters and jets? i mean its not impossible, now some other ideas.. When you get hurt pherhaps you could make the player slow down as you normally cant keep running the same if you get hurt, and he/she could pherhaps randomly place the hand on "the wound" it would be so much more realistic. And if so it would be more realistic to only be able to use the smaller weapons such as pistols and knifes, hmm then i had another idea for the lightsabre but i guess you made somthing out of it allready but ill say anyway. I was thinking about a spade you could go and bash people around with but ohwell.. i hope you find my ideas interesting.

All of your suggestions would only ensure that none of this would ever be released. Encourgaging that Ace1 take what he has shown here, which clearly at least took him some good while to assemble, and add tenfold as much to it to make, and the buzzword has been tossed around this thread, a TC. Your grandiose ideas are nowhere near as important in a project such as this than his, and even less possible.

hmm, come to think of it, Grismath's right.

Admit it, this happens to almost every 'gun' mod on this forum. Poeple just pour out there ideas, which I'm sure there are some great ones among the masses, but eventually the creator, in this case Ace1, can get so bogged down that he'll just toss the whole project in the trash bin.

I'm not saying he shouldn't be open to suggestions, but impossible, mod-altering ideas from poeple who have no idea how to make mods are only gonna send this project to hell, sooner or later.
