My first rendering

I was able to painstakingly put a 3do into 3ds, and render it, heres the result.
It took 30 mins just to get the model back to its normal condition as I originally made it. The process I used was export as 3do, convert using the converter at massassi to a dxf, import into 3ds, and I have to patch every hole and fix all the errors in the importing. I was hoping someone knows a better way or a plugin to make this easier.
Oh, and whatcha think?

Could use more detail, and the handle seems a bit too large, but other than that I like it. What kind of gun is that btw?

It's for JK, so uber detail really doesn't matter..although it kind of NEEDS a clip [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]. If you texture it right, that will look freaking awesome.

Haggis: "For God's sake, snap out of it man! That bottle is empty! It's been empty since the first day we got to this godforsaken place and you drank it all! You're losing touch with reality!"
Otter stares at Haggis, a suspicious expression on his face.
Otter: "You just want my whiskey! I'm on to you!"
Think while it's still legal.

The clip is there, the line for it is blended together, but that little part jetting out towards the barrel from the bottem of the grip is it.

When I converted the APU over, I exported it into a file that 3d milkshape accepted and that it exported into the 3ds max 3 format. No issues with it.

I don't have milkshape (yet). Any way else (until I can get it)?

Yes, you can do it with 3do converter. Take the file and select 3do as the import, and .obj as the export. Then you can load the .obj in Milkshape 3d or c4d (never tried it on 3dsmax6 yet). Then when its in that, just export to .3ds and you can import it in 3dsmax. Its alot quicker if you have Milkshape, then you can forget the steps all the way back till you reach the .obj export, then you just import that into milkshape and YAY!!!!
