I never understood why people would color code wires in a bomb. At least, like movies, there seems to be an international standard everyone follows. It's like people wire them so it's the same as everyone else's and EASY to diffuse, it makes no sense.

Really, if you're disarming a bomb, you should be more concerned about what circuits connect to what, not the color wire.

As far as movies go, it's a movie and they don't want to bore the audience with details. As far as real life goes, it's a heck of a lot more complicated than what you see on the movies.
