A desperate disease requires a dangerous remedy.

A major source of objection to a free economy is precisely that it gives people what they want instead of what a particular group thinks they ought to want. Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself.

Yummy. His eyes look kind of weird though, and the AK has no texture--looks like it was carved out of wood or something.

Interesting. I think that the grass could have a little more detail to it and maybe the clouds could too. I like it.

Thanks everyone.

And Emon, if you don't understand why the AK-47 is so *infinitely* cooler than an MP5 or M16, I can't explain it. It just is.

Yeah the Ak-47 may be 'infineatly' more cooler, but it's also infineatly more inaccurate, and crappy, yeah it's a reliable gun, but it blows.

I want to say Sine was inspired by watching/reading stories about Vietnam battles.

Cool, but why the gun? Is he a farmer protecting his field from crop circle aliens?

and also, instead of the AK, if were gonna go with weird weapons of the future for our farmer protect the world from crop circles, I say MP7 instead of AK.

I think what I like most about the piece is that, to me, it can be left up to whoever's looking at it. I don't see a soldier at all. I see a warrior from the east treking lands that once belonged to his family. He's now using the cover of the storm clouds to make haste further into the Akatano Family Grounds. He plans on assassinating Boss Zokato, and as legend has it, reclaim the throne.

I think that was inspired by Vietnam and Kill Bill.

God, people, the type of gun he's carrying really has nothing at all to do with the painting. I don't give a **** that you think the M345304-PKS34534 is cooler.. please, comment on something other than the gun

It's boring.

I think it would look better if he were looking up at the sky or if he was holding his gun differently.

I just think I needs a better pose I guess.

Are those clouds in the sky? Because that looks like an alien mothership. Is that why he's got the AK47?

Yeah, the pose doesn't really fit. If he's defending the world from crop circles, I'd make him be in a more "ready to fight" pose.

and the cloud DOEs look a little like a planet. If it's supposed to be a cloud and not an crop circle alien planet/mothership, I'd make it cloudier looking
