I dunno much about S&W pistols, but that looks alot, ALOT, like a Colt 1911...

Good textures and model except for the grip, the front (and prob the back) are just flat faces and need to be curved out more then just rounded edges.

Smith & Wesson also has a line of 1911 models.

The 1911 would be far more useful than the junk pistol they give you. It's practically useless - It's easier to take down a zombie with a Maglite than it is to shoot them.

I personally would've preferred a good ol' Desert Eagle. One shot to the head, zombie goes splatter.

Right now I'm working on a slightly different skin with a polished stainless steel slide. That is basically what I wanted this model to be. I'm a freak for custom guns. But since I'm not too good in photoshop, it may take a little while to come up with that. I've got a brushed stainless skin already. So if you all would like some more renders....



There's one to show you what's in store. The 2 tone is largely unfinished. It's a work in progress. The next render will show it in all of its glory hopefully. With mother of pearl grips, and a really nice.. Really.. Really. . shiny slide.

BTW... The file for the pistol WILL be edited. That thing will actually kick some *** now. It'll only hold 7 shots, but it will have some SERIOUS power. You'll get your one headshot wish.

Btw. The 1911 fires .45 ACP... Which isn't all together alot less powerful than the .50 AE. It will rearrange your brains all over the wall just as well. But if you really want a Desert Eagle... Maybe I'll have to put my name on the list of the hundreds of people that have made them over the years and churn one out for you this week. I love making pistols in Lightwave... So unless you want a badass 21st century SHOTGUN too... I could make a Desert Eagle... But I was planning on a Shotgun... Oh well.... Btw. Never fear. New sounds are in order. I know what a gun is SUPPOSED to sound like.

Model = Done. I'll release all 3 skins when it's released. But here's the issue. I want it to have custom animations. But I don't know the first thing about making animations. I know there are several people around here that know how to make them, so if anyone wants their name in the credits, let me know.

The silver version with the wood handles remind me of the Silver Ballers in the Hitman series. Now those were a pair of guns, you could send a body flying 30ft with a close range headshot with those things.

Those are quite nice

Yeah but 47's hardballers had some nice custom made handgrips with the hitman logo on them.

Wow, VERY nice. Kudos. I still think there's something wrong with the handle. I'm assuming you're using a background image behind your model in lightwave, no doubt. Care to post it, so that I might be able to point out what it is that I'm not feeling on the handle? Otherwise, it'll prove me all the wrong.

That's the latest render. I made some changes to the skin, and added a little here and there. I fixed a few problems I was seeing with the handgrip, hopefully I got the ones kirby is referring to. But anyway here's a pic of the original gun.
Needless to say the last few pics are a LITTLE different.

Well Smith and Wesson's webpage is down. So all I could find is this pic from the left side of the gun. Which is largely undetailed on my model. Maybe I should add those details. I don't know.

... but the stainless steel in most shots looks like white enamel or something... a little more dark and contrast instead of solid white would be cool.
