Dude, you should make it have a head-biting-off animation if that's possible in JA, I wouldn't know, because I'm uneducated in the ways of editing JA. You know when that dude is gonna shoot the raptor and then he looks to his left and the other raptor is staring at him and he's like 'Cleva girl...' and then it jumps on him and clings and bites on his head. Those pics look awesome! This is gonna be my favorite JA model!

However, I'm a little unhappy with that primary attack concept. It looks a bit kungfu-like, not really suitable for an animal, no matter how clever they were.

I'd rather recommend a jump onto the victim, ramming both claws into the chest and throwing it to the ground, that'd be more 'natural'

I second the idea of a head bite, or maybe slashes with its arms?

Ehhh... that tail is freaking the hell out of me, and I know it's the perspective, but somtimes you have to take stupid things into account and exagerate/dezagerate(I hope that's a word) things. Look at DOD's internal weapon models, they freaking did a good job at making them seem bigger by cheating the perspective. they made the model get bigger as it goes away from view.

Well, I like the jumping idea. Raptomasaurs don't use their mouths for attackings though.

And I'm still not changing the tail. An internal model is one thing—a fully 3D character that you'll see from all directions is quite another. And besides, raptors need long tails for balance and all that.

Concerning its behaviour, you could even have it attack rancor and basically everything. Raptors weren't to scared to take on creatures that were five times their size =)

But I guess it won't be possible to achieve that they actually hold on to their victim until it goes down, will it? (see below)



Edit: Something else, I know I'm picky - but how about making the arms a bit more active in that jump action - like reaching out for the victim's head?

To your first question, no we can't, but from what I've read they don't actually do that. They just take turns making slashing runs at it over and over until it falls down. Then they eat it.

To your second question, I was thinking that myself.
