Yeah... that's possible... But the only reason I don't fix it is because it would be VERY hard... since most of the gun is based on circular objects... and shriking the gun sideways would turn them into ovals.... plus it looks beefier this way.

This is about the 5th time I've made a Carbine. I was making Carbine's before Counter Strike popularized them. I have been doing this for over 7 years. One of my first models was a Carbine, and I almost hate to model them now based on the fact that Counter Strike has made them so popular. I feel bad for people that legitimately think the Desert Eagle is a good gun, even though it's relatively worthless in real life, based on what counter strike has done.

Also, it looks nice, but the magazine is *way* too thick..and no, it's not really a preference thing - it looks like it holds about 90 rounds rather than 30.

Fix the thick and it'll be good. Really, if you've got all of your layers in order, just select the square groups on the base (The circular areas are all fine) and resize.

I think you're on a level with hellcat. That's a level few have ever reached.

Okay, I liked the pistols and minigun... I really did...

...BUT THIS MODEL IS JUST OUTRIGHT HORRIBLE!
It's WAAAYYY too boxy, and lacks a lot of detail... and what's this? I even see DFLT.MAT!!! How did you mess THAT up?

Ok, tonight I will TRY to resize it, and I'll probably do a shotgun tonight too. I've got to go be a slave down at my old high school for a few hours though. Nah, I actually like the BFG... It's pretty cool. I like the bfg, plasma gun, and rocket launcher. Other than that, I hate all of the guns. Well.. The chainsaw is pretty hip as well... I should replace it with a Samurai sword though.

And Yoshi.. I can't control the fact that the guns cannot be put in game yet. Go yell at iD and tell them to release an SDK. Or someone figure it out, because I know how to make models, and after that, my knowledge really kinda runs dry in the game mod department.

I'm not very fond of the idea to have present-day carbines in a science fiction shooter. Shotgun is okay; pistol is okay, but I think assault rifles and carbines should feel futuristic in sci fi games.

Nice model though.

If it's for Doom 3, you should attach a flashlight to it. I cant imagine why they made it so you would have to unequip the flashlight before you could equip any weapons.

^^There's a few 'duct-tape' mods out there that attaches the flashlight to the gun already.

...Because it's a gameplay mechanic?

Doom 3 wouldn't be half as scary (for the first 2 missions anyway) if you could hold your gun up with your flashlight.
