Texturing? Just stick a generic black metal texture on it and let Doom3's lighting do the rest.

The funny thing is, what Flexor says would probably work. The gun is just plain black metal. There is nothing special about it. And I more or less modeled all of the detail into it. So a plain black texture in Doom 3 would probably work.

Just add a bit of wear and tear to that texture though, so that it really does look real (you may want to apply an actual texture to the handle, but that's just my idea)

The biggest one is only 130kb/s... each pic loads in about a second for me (<3 broadband).

You make me wish I was gay. That's the first time I've ever seen a model and actually had a physical reation. I felt like I was gonna throw up, it was so purty.

-Which is insane because I've seen 60 billion excellent weapon models, each one prettier than the last, and I never reacted because weapons aren't my bag. But this thing made my breath catch in my throat.

it was a super detailed model of one of those hand held aircraft gattling guns or something. It had so much detail that it didn't even need textures with the lighting

-It didn't need textures. Maybe a few scuffs here or there.
