This won't be finished for the deadline, but I figured I would post it here just so you guys could take a look at it.

This is at the entrance to the reactor room:

Yes, I realize that it has no lighting, but when I lit it the sign didn't show up. I need to have a light shining right on it, but I haven't done this yet.

The texture on the beam is animated, and it scrolls upwards too. As well, there are some lovely dynamic lights so the light level changes.

Sorry about the lighting on the bottom of that platform there. I need to re-cleave that so it looks better.

It's too bad we can't upload sounds to the editor's corner- I made some neat sound effects for this level.

Wall texture needs something more. Glowing lights, perhaps.

make another beam smaller and make it like white glowing and put it inside of the fist beam. make the first beam transparent, and it adds a great effect. looks good btw.

Since there was a little problem with Lab recently, I'm extending the deadline, so maybe it'll be done in time after all

If that beam is part of the level archetecture and not a 3do, set the surfaces to be transparent so it'll look blurry and weird. Would probably work really nicely.

Spiral, wheres your website? And I'd like to make a laboratory themed level but I need some guidelines or something to follow right?

Grismath: nothing, as of yet...

jEDIkIRBY: no thanks, the sounds don't sound nearly as cool when they aren't in the level. Maybe I'll change my mind tomorrow and send them.

Ace1: yes, it rather does, doesn't it. The animation and scrolling make it look a lot better.

Acharjay: good idea. I thought the walls looked a little bare, but I didn't know what to put there.

vegiemaster: unfortunately, the beam is archi. When I first cleaved it out, it was some sort of pillar, because I was making the room into a torus (think fusion reactor)

Spiral: sounds good. I guess I just lost my excuse for not finishing this...

Can I ask how you got the thing above the beam to be archi? I'm probably just bad at JED, but I can never achieve that without non-planner surfaces.

You mean the cone thingy? It's easy, just use the rotate function in the tool window, and cleave out the same shape every time. When you have it completely rotated around, delete the sector that you want.
